Police and Donuts

Bits and Pieces Lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really haven't meant to ignore this section for so long, but there hasn't been much to see that's worthy of this page. This evening after I left the office I was out for a little caching and waymarking. Since it was so cold, I decided to make this my last stop. There is a cache behind the parking area and hot chocolate inside. I decided to ignore the cache with the police car in the parking lot and a highway patrol car in the drive through, but it was worth it for this picture. When I lived locally, I used to stop at a nearby donut shop called Jolly Roger. That place was a satellite station for the local police. Maybe this location has taken its place. :-)

Drive Thru Confessions?

The Church Hall for St. Paul Church in Stark County is located in an old bank building. We couldn't help but wonder if the old drive-up teller window had been converted to a drive thru confessional. :-)

We come in peace

It seemed a strange juxtaposition in Mars, Pennsylvania. The flying saucer beside a peace pole brought back memories of the jerky computer voice of the alien in movies of my youth saying "We come in peace."

Funky Monkeys

The Cleveland Zoo says this is a behavioral study. I think it's nice of the Zoo to let the monkeys express themselves.

Going Green

New Zealand may be a few steps ahead of the US in turning autos into rolling advertisements. There are more cars sitting in private drives that appear to be decorated specifically as advertisements. This one just goes a little beyond most.
