Rail 66 Bike Trail

It's hard to miss this bike trail parking sign.

It's a pleasant trail and worth a visit.  I wouldn't worry too much about finding the parking lot.  😉

Maybe This Year Is Next Year

I spotted these baseballs while geocaching in a small rural park.  Maybe 2021 will be a better year for everyone and include a little baseball.

Someone in Crawford County really likes fly fishing.

How Not to Sell Your House V2.0

Another person who thinks hanging your racist flag will sell a home in Youngsville, Pennsylvania.  For a mere $220K.  2,137 soldiers from Warren County Pennsylvania fought to preserve our nation from the Traitors of the Confederacy.  Flying this flag in a county that proudly represented the country is a disgrace.

You Decide

Is this pro-trump or anti-trump?  It's hard to tell if the spray paint sign on this trashed ? is in support or a statement of unhappiness.  It's been sitting outside a small tuner shop in Pennsylvania.  At one point it was flipped 90 degrees and on its side presumably to extract parts for another project.  I'm assuming the shop is a younger business as it seems to lean toward projects involving lowered and stanced smaller imports.

Lumber Man

Lumber Man was one of the few people wearing a mask in Tionesta, Pennsylvania.  We were going to spend some money in town.  Decided the risk was too high.

Smokey Says

My mask protects you.  Your mask protects me.  Wear your mask!

Like many bears, Smokey has a big face and has a hard time finding a mask that fits.  He's standing outside this parking area in Moshannon State Forest doing his best to protect visitors.

Stay Safe!

Sign of the Times

I noticed this sign in the back and side windows of an old Crown Vic.  Home made sanitizer seems so long ago in the changing COVID landscape.  They better make those sales soon as most stores are stocking commercial grade products again while demand drops as people realize hand sanitizer is not the best solution to stopping a respiratory infection.  We have never been intense users of hand sanitizer products.  Soap and water, if available, are much better tools for removing risks.  It was an Altoona, Pennsylvania phone number a long way from home.

Close Call?

I know they are at different elevations, but am I the only person  who thinks this was a close call?

Air B&B

It's not quite a rental app, but our home is once again being used for and Air Bird and Brood.  For years we have hosted phoebes and their nest.  This year is no exception.  The hard working couple was busy with nest building through the weekend.  There may not be rental money involved, but we are happy to be hosts.

I Don't Think This Is a Good Idea.....

There can be twenty pounds in each of those propane tanks in the cage. With as many as eighteen tanks possible, I would never expect someone to pick up a twenty pound extinguisher and put out a fire at this location. This Dollar General in NE Pennsylvania appears to think it might be a good idea.

We Come In Peace

Who knew substantial proof of alien life forms could be found in Pennsylvania? ;)

Word of the Day: Career

The last time I checked, playing high school sports is not a profession, occupation, job, or employment. The local paper seems greatly confused with this difficult to understand word.

Maybe I had it all wrong. When I played sports I thought it was supposed to be fun.

Goldenberg's Peanut Chews

Goldenberg's Peanut Chews' wrapper has an interesting tribute to its Philadelphia Heritage on the wrapper. This interesting product has a history dating back to 1917. The bars were included as ration bars for the US military in World War I.

Conewango Creek is Pennsylvania's 2015 River of the Year

The Conewango Creek in our home county of Warren was recently voted the Pennsylvania River of the Year for 2015. The quiet beauty of the Conewango begs for a visit whether you like to paddle, to look for eagles, or find a geocache or two. Many congrats to our friend Liz who has been tireless in her support of this treasure through conservation and clean-up efforts!

Warning Battery Has Been Removed

I am glad we have that straightened out. Without that label on our new gas detector, I might never have known where the battery was located.

Patent Pending

We were excited to see Holiday Inn has applied for a patent on a bath towel. ;)

Exterminate... Exterminate

They supposedly make baseball bats at this plant, but the architecture seems to indicate a major Dalek influence. ;-)

You won't understand this post if you are not a Dr. Who fan.
