Battyshack

Ali was getting her new glasses today and stopped by at lunch. There was a new cache in a park near the office so we had a pleasant lunch-time hunt. I thought Battshack was a great idea (why don't I ever think of these?). Unfortunately, I'm Alright has been hanging out in my head as an earworm since I saw the battyshack. I also keep hearing Bill Murray say "Freeze gopher." I was surprised to see that this guy has a whole site devoted to Caddyshack. It seems like that movie was a lifetime ago.

One Happy Water Tank

This water tank is sure to brighten one's day. The tank fits the town's residents. They seemed quite friendly during our short visit. I wonder though if the smile doesn't come from the water tank's knowledge of the two big guns at the base that are protecting it from invasion by wandering Michigan residents. ;-)

Sprinkler Signs

Isn't it scary the Drury needs to tell guests not to hang clothes from a sprinkler head?

Scenes From a Town: Punxsutawney Style

It seems like every town has these now. When thousands come each year to hear the resident groundhog predict the weather, you can be certain that the town will be decorated with dressed up groundhogs. This is but a small sample of the Phils in Punxsutanwey. Hmmm... maybe the NEOGEO cachers could have decorated Illini Phil's all over the Summit County area? ;-)

Reduce, Re-use...

We saw these on the porches of the cabins at Denton Hill State Park. They are great looking cabins and one of the main attractions of the park is a skiing area. The chairs were a perfect fit for the park, and the look really great.

Too Many Instructions

Hmmm... "sit" on a downed trunk in the woods. The instruction is actually posted as part of a bow hunting competition that was set up in an area where we were hiking, but it does make for a funny find in the woods.

Dasani Cans

Hmmm... Dansani on the can bin and Coke on the plastic bin. It seems odd. GG found this one at the Cleveland Zoo while we were visiting.
